Gauges on homepage scripts

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm currently having a problem with a gauge I have on a homepage. A user has raised an enhancement with us to amend the gauge so that it only brings back open incidents that are linked to a specific group that the user is in. These incidents are linked to many groups, i just wanted to know that if their is a script that can help bring back only the incidents that are linked with the group they are in?

Issues with ODBC Connection

Hi everyone,

I had recently installed the ODBC driver with success and had no issues. I recently had my machine upgraded to Windows 7 from XP. I had to re-install the driver, but now I am having issues. I tried installing on another machine that has XP, but I am still getting the same issue. I have uploaded a screenshot of the issue. Any thought and help is appreciated. Thanks.

Agent Utilization

I would like to hear how others are tracking agent's performance. We are using a time worked field on the Incident form to track agent's time. But if an agent has two tabs open at once, for two different incidents, their time is literally multiplied. At the end of an 8 hour day, they could have 8+ hours of incident time worked. Our work-around is to extract data into SQL Server and manipulate the time entries to exclude any overlapping time. This gives us a more accurate look at an agent's utilization.

Interactive Charts and Jelly

Hi Guys,
I’m working on some nice charts in ServiceNow, which are based on morris.js components (http://www.oesmith.co.uk/morris.js/). It’s really simple and there are no problem if you just want to display a static chart, which loads data only once, before it’s displayed.

But now I need to put some parameters and ‘Refresh/Apply’ button on a form and be able to refresh the chart correspondingly. I think it should be possible with some javascript, but I don’t know how to ’link’ that button with data retrieval and chart refresh.

Any ideas how to do that?

Report Legend

Is there any way to change the order of the legend in a report, for instance we are running a report grouped by Priority with a stacked field, the bar graph shows fine but the legend below that defines the colors is out of order, any way to manipulate the Legend in Berlin?

Scripting Report Distribution

I would like to create a report with oustanding tasks for each assignment group. While that part is easy, I want to email the sub-set of this report to each assignment group manager. Sending the complete report we result in no one reading the report and creating hundreds of indiviually scheduled reports is a maintenance nightmare.

Scheduled reports condition

We'd like to send a scheduled report only if it meets a certain condition.

Example below: -
The report is number of incidents resolved in the last three months, by a particular reporting category.
The schedule should only send if the total count of incidents for that category exceeds 60.

Can anyone assist with the script needed to make this condition.

Available role to publish only to groups and not everyone

Is there a role to publish reports only to groups/users and NOT the everyone visibility option? Without granting the report_admin role? Or can I modify the report creation form to hide the Everyone option?


SLA Report creation

Hi,
It is early days in my being a ServiceNow administrator dealing with various topics and as a new community member I would like to ask about 'SLA Report creation'.
I have looked at the help and Wiki information and other sources on the general topic of reporting and have successfully created a number of reports now in regular use. However I do not have access to a data dictionary or its equivalent and have been unable to find what I am after for a new report.

Currently under the Service Level Management application SLA Definitions module we have around 100 OLAs and 150 SLAs.

need help to define a "Where clause" to create a Database View

Recently a change failed and thousends of users where deleted by mistake. We managed to get them back via Ecxel Imports but unfortunatly in some cases the system assigned records like incidents by by unfortunate coincidence and not to the correct user because the sys-id did not come with the excel report. However actually there are potentially thousands of Incidents assigned to Users wich are double or not active or inactive userers are still related with active incidents.

To find out how big the issue is, it thougt it would help to create a database view wich allows me to find out:

Need Custom Chart Help

I've become a guru when it comes to custom reporting, though I still struggle with a few things. The latest struggle is X/Y bars and representation.

The chart I am plotting now is a chart we have been doing in Excel for years that we're hoping to do in ServiceNow. The chart counts how many total records of Change and Incident. The Change are represented by a Bar and Incident is a Line. See attached graphic for example.

Reporting on a Database View

Hi all!

I am working on a report based on a Database View I created. This will return request items by location - the location is in a user-created field populated based on a variable.

The Database View returns the desired data - see attachment View Results.

When I create my report I can pick the desired fields from the database view - in particular the user defined field populated based on a variable called Impacted Employee Location - see attachments List Selection and Report Results.

Hey Hey Hey...metrics...my nemesis...

I'm looking for some direction (other than the metric definition wiki) as to how I can pull a report/metric that calculates how long an incident was assigned to a specific individual AND what state the incident was in at the time of assignment and reassignment. Make sense?

I assume I can use the OOtB "Assigned To Duration" metric; however it does not capture the State it was in. Would I need to add script to this metric?

ESS Usage Reporting

I need to create Self Service Usage reports to report on the number of times a customer has gone to the self-service portal and checked on status. Broken this way:

# of hits on Issue Status
# of hits My Closed Incidents
# of hits Order Status
# of hits My closed

Did not find anything in Wiki on how to do this, what tables to use, does this require building custom tables, etc.

Any help would be appreciated! I'm very new at this.

HI,
we are trying to create reports from ServiceNow. I just install ODBC Driver on my machine and setup data source based on the ServiceNow ODBC driver. the url is point to our servicenow site. However, when I tried to test the connection using my servicenow account, I got HTTP 401 error.
appreciate if someone can tell me what I will need to get in. thanks....

Scheduled Report Email Addresses

I have created a report that I want to schedule. Creating the report and scheduling is working fine, but I want to create a dynamic list of Email Addresses to send the report to each time it runs. I am trying to put javascript in the Email Addresses field on the Scheduled Email of Report record but it does not seem to work. Has anyone used this field and then called a Script Includes to build a dynamic list of email addresses? Is there another way of scheduling the report and creating a dynamic list of email addresses to send it to? Thanks.

Has anyone experienced slow performance when a user runs a report with filters on date fields say "created_by" and date fields are on the list as well? Such a report showed up on our slow SQL statement and I'm not really sure if this could be a reason.
